Joke’s on you, I have no class!

Day two of the new semester. For the first time since spring 2019 I’m attempting a full load and I’m already giving one of my classes the side eye.

I have an 8am class on Monday and Wednesday that’s beginning drawing. The professor seems like a real lad, a Norse fellow. If runes and Norse culture and mythology hadn’t been co-opted by Nazis and white supremacists, I’d use nods to such in my projects for that class.

My only double take about him is he thinks that all the supplies for his class will cost 80 dollars. Oh you sweet summer child. It cost me 60 dollars just for the drawing board, paper, big sheet for self portrait, and workable fixitive. Nevermind the drawing pencils, colored pencils, charcoal, graphite sticks, cloth, blending sticks, conte crayons, and so on. Hahaha, it’s more like 300 dollars, though I did get name brand/quality products (Prismacolor, Strathmore, Staedtler) that are a bit more expensive than the cheap megasets on Amazon.

My second class of the week is Unix Programming and while I don’t think it will be an enjoyable class, the professor is cool and I’ve had her before so it’ll be okay.

My third class is an Art History class with a hundred and twenty people. The professor yelled at us to mute our mics triggering my PTSD. She’s not going to be recording her lectures and won’t be providing slides even though it would be simple for her to do so and my accomodations allow for me to audio record her class and suggest that if at all possible slides should be provided for me. She has pop quizzes and I’m really really concerned about potential memorization and my disabilities.

I’m giving this class the stink eye and might be a Karen at the disabled student assistance office about stuff.

My last class of the week is 3D modeling, which is upper division whereas what I took at my previous school is lower division. I’m really excited to do more modeling and make stuff to print on my new 3d printer. I’ve had this professor before and she’s pretty awesome.
