I Love Alibaba

I wanted to make stickers for a student organization I run as a way to fund raise. I reached out to several local companies because I prefer to source from local small businesses whenever I can. I got no response.

I also designed stoles for graduation and want to get them from mockups on my computer to something I can wear. So I turned to Alibaba.

I spend hours on that app just searching around for deals, getting ideas, and so on.

Stickers, lapel pins, pens, USB drives, graduation stoles, tassels, keychains, flags, so many flags. Grocery bags, canvas totes, plastic biodegradable product bags. Big flags, little flags, indoor flags, outdoor flags. I love flags.

I have so many things I want to make, the only thing keeping me from getting custom cool things made is the lack of money for an initial investment.

So here I am thinking about doing a couple of Kickstarters.

And trying to figure out how to get verified for KS without dealing with dead naming myself.

But Alibaba man. So many things to see, so many ideas. So much inspiration. And I go view the live streams and look at all the neat things people are showing. And sometimes I’m the only viewer and have chats with the streamers.

If I had to choose between TikTok and Alibaba for entertainment, I’d choose Alibaba because it engages my imagination.

Apparently I have an entrepreneual streak.

Who knew?
